| Animals for Adoption
[back] |
At
any given time, FORA has a host of delightful dogs and cats occupying
EVERY available space at the shelter. These are pure-breeds,
crossbreeds, abandoned and unwanted puppies and adults, and some of the
cutest, friendliest potential pets you could hope to find in one place.
It is very difficult to do justice on this adoptions page to
the more than 500 dogs and cats wa have waiting for forever
homes. If you are looking for a special friend, we would suggest
paying us a visit at the shelter.
We will, however, use this
page to promote our longer-term residents and give visitors to the site
a feel for the furry friends available at FORA. SOME FUN REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD ADOPT AN ANIMAL FROM FORA:
- No
assembly required - animals from FORA have been
vaccinated, dewormed, sterilised and microchipped and come with a
lifetime guarantee of love
- Every dog should have his (adoption) day
- Make a fast friend - it takes only minutes but lasts a lifetime
- Your current friend can't catch a frisbee in his mouth
- You wont find CATS on Broadway - but you'll certainly find them at FORA
- FORA has plenty of stars just waiting to be discovered
- You can stop looking for love in all the wrong places
- You'll finally have someone whose always happy to see you
- You'll be loved regardless of who you are, what you do, or how much money you have
- FORA animals are happy to share your couch and have been trained not to

SOME SERIOUS REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T:
If you are not prepared to:
- Spend quality time with your new pet, and exercise it adequately, both mentally and physically
- Treat your pet as a member of our family
- Make personal sacrifices in order to see to your pets needs
- Feed and groom it, exercise and house it properly, and provide veterinary care when necessary
- Take it to socializing or training classes
- Forgive it when it goes to the bathroom where it should not - toilet protocol is your responsibility. Smacking only creates confusion, exercise patience and praise when the plan comes together
- Deal with dog/cat hair
- Accept the responsibilities of pet ownership
- Ensure the whole family is happy with acquiring a new pet
