Besides giving this voiceless loving creature a home, you are not only gaining a pet, but you are assisting FORA with achieving their main objective, to find caring homes for the animals in our care.

Adoption Procedure

Once the you have decided on which pet to adopt you have to fill in an application form to adopt which can be collected from out offices

One of our inspectors will make arrangements to complete a home visit. On approval by our governing committee and feedback from the inspector the adoption agreement is then signed.

An adoption fee of is payable in cash for dogs(R400) and for cats(R250)

The pet was vaccinated, dewormed and sterilised on arrival at the shelter is now ready to be collected by it’s owner. An adoption agreement is signed and is between you(the new owner) and FORA
